No need to worry about the 3 oz rule when it comes to those things. Bring extra diapers and wipes, even for a short flight. You never know if your flight will be delayed, sit on the tarmac, etc. and you do not want to run out of diapers! Nurse or give a bottle right before take off and and at landing if possible so they are swallowing when their ears might be popping. Otherwise, they'll probably sleep right through the flight.
