We are looking at a house zoned for Stenwood, and youngest will be in K next year so I’m a bit worried she’ll get impacted by the rezoning, but I guess such is life. DL seems a bit more liberal than other areas, and that was a plus for us. Is there a plan on which areas will move to the new Dunn Loring school?
It will be years before the old school is renovated and a redistricting plan announced, but given Dunn Loring's location anything zoned to Stenwood that's north of Idylwood, and perhaps north of the W&OD trail, stands to be reassigned there. Also look for anything west of 495 currently zoned to Shrevewood to move to Stenwood. It's likely the boundaries of Cunningham Park and/or Freedom Hill will also be affected, but if/how is less clear.
