DL seems a bit more liberal than other areas, and that was a plus for us.
Is there a plan on which areas will move to the new Dunn Loring school?
There are no definite dates or which streets will be impacted b the boundary changes. If you are affected by the boundary changes, you can petition to be grandfathered in, so your daughter would not have to move schools.

Not which schools you are looking at but my kids went to Stenwood and we were very happy there. Great teachers and admin, and very supportive PTA. The area is centrally located to all the major highways and Metro (if you have to commute to DC).
Oh, also keep in mind there is going to be some re-zoning happening, probably in the next 3-5 years, as the Dunn Loring Center is going to be converted to an elementary school. More than likely kids from Stenwood, Freedom Hill and others may get pulled in.
