I know he feels that I was holding my children back by not medicating, but now that DS1 is in middle school, he is focused and doing well, without any medication.  My approach has been one of natural supplementation, detoxification and balancing Ph levels.  I know that many parents here don't have the time to research natural approaches very thoroughly, especially if their doctors aren't mentioning these options to them in the first place, and I know that most parents want a quick fix to their kid's problems, but when and how did we become a society so dependent on chemicals for our health?  It just seems so backwards to me.[/quote]
