I'm guessing she meant do only cheese fondue (with bread and vegetables) rather than meat in hot oil. The raw meat part isn't an issue for us since we're vegetarians, but I hadn't thought of the heat-and-sharp-stuff angle. Maybe that's part of why DC likes the idea of fondue. Hmmm. . . .
