Especially since the Republican Party is built around the people Jesus warned against!

Jesus told us explicitly to beware of the moneychangers; the hypocrites — the people who put money over other humans.  
The Bible is filled with stories about Jesus saying that rich men would “sooner fit through the eye of a needle” then go to heaven. (Camel, but you get the idea.)  Even on abortion Jesus was not especially strong — the Bible says that killing a pregnant woman brings punishment of murder for killing the woman and a lesser punishment for killing the fetus. This is why Jews are not ideologues on abortion, btw.

Jesus specifically warned against exactly what is happening in the Republican Party today.
Exactly! Rich men oppressing the poor and the weak to enrich themselves.
If there is one story in the Bible, that is it.

Jesus would be a Democrat today and there is no real debate.[/quote]
