OP here.  I don't know that I would call us "friends," but we were "friendly."   I can't say that I have the knowledge or ambition to make anyone's life hell.

THAT'S weird.

My second grader's teacher had introductory meetings with each family via Blackboard so we've seen her and spoken with her. She gave us a little introduction and told us a little about herself and asked us to tell her a little about ourselves. I've also had a few phone conversations with her about my daughter's progress, so I feel like I have a good sense of her personality, anyway. But I need to be friendly with my kid's teacher, I really don't care about her personal life, she's there to teach my kid and as long as she's doing a good job, I don't think much about her. It's weird that you want to know personal details about your child's teacher. [/quote]
