My second grader's teacher had introductory meetings with each family via Blackboard so we've seen her and spoken with her. She gave us a little introduction and told us a little about herself and asked us to tell her a little about ourselves. I've also had a few phone conversations with her about my daughter's progress, so I feel like I have a good sense of her personality, anyway. But I need to be friendly with my kid's teacher, I really don't care about her personal life, she's there to teach my kid and as long as she's doing a good job, I don't think much about her. It's weird that you want to know personal details about your child's teacher.

OP, it’s a cocktail of unaccountability that should make any parent uneasy or at least uncomfortable.
