Is this out of the norm to be searching for a temporary nanny to watch my LO from 4-6 months old (so two months total)? Are temporary nannies very hard to find or are mixed arrangements like this common? Anything else to know or consider?
What happens after 6 months?
We're giving the baby away. Hehehe kidding! LO will go to daycare. There are no openings at the affordable, nearby daycare until then. We are on a budget and trying to make things work; we'll use combination of savings and frugality to afford a nanny for a couple months
Is it possible to stagger the parental leave and cover the full six months? Or even for one parent to take unpaid leave for a short time? A short term nanny will be very expensive, and if your budget is that small, I'm thinking both parents don't really earn much any way (I'm not trying to be mean!)
