What DCPS should have done was shift to 6 weeks off around Thanksgiving/Christmas and then go to school in the summer. DCPS can’t just decide to add more days onto the contract without paying more. Or is the rule that if you don't call it a strike, then it's not a strike and it's allowed? Isn't that what teachers say? Maybe we could invent a new name for summer school so it's allowed too.
