They are not going to vote for a strike. It’s a bluster.

Anyway, you can call summer school anything you want. DCPS will offer summer school to everyone this summer, just like they always do. Sign up if you want. Don’t sign up if you don’t want.

I’m not sure why anyone is even talking about this. Northam released ZERO information on this. For all anyone knows it’s voluntary summer school with a different name.

My kids used to go to school eight hours per day, five days per week. Now they get a couple hours per day, four days per week.

They now get about as much instruction per week as they used to get each and every day.

It’s about days not hours. That’s not the way it works.

Finally someone is being flexible and creative. I'm sure teachers will try to stand in the way of this obvious remedy though.
