I fully support renaming schools named after Lee and Confederate heroes and certainly understand moves made relating to others such as Woodrow Wilson, but at some point this is completely batty.

To rename a school named after Lincoln because he didn't help Native Americans or because Feinstein because she allegedly opposed same-sex marriage at some point is insane.  Will people oppose schools named for Obama because, at least in early campaigns, he didn't support same sex marriage?

This will be blunt, but you (and others) that think this is just going to magically stop are one of the reasons this continues. At some point, we need to push back and say "Lincoln, REALLY" and yet people just put their heads down instead.[/quote]
