Uh-oh, I guess the Hogan 2024 Campaign has found DCUM! Hopefully we won't be awash with fake posts for the next 4 years. 1. Hogan has no power over school openings. 2. He is posturing to get attention and help his Presidential run. 3. Furthermore, it's an idiotic move because the calendar does not dictate when schools can safely open, THE VIRUS DOES. 4. So, by holding regular press conferences and moaning about schools, he looks dumb to the more informed among us. But I'm sure he looks in charge and masterful to the people most likely to vote for him... :-) Someone has to put pressure on the counties to get schools working to figure this out. If other large public schools have made progress, and private schools have opened, it’s time to move forward. Why are you so regressive?

Because I'm a research scientist who knows more than a thing or two about virology, and THE VIRUS OBEYS NO CALENDAR. We'll open when we open. There's no precise timetable, but it's good to be prepared. Public schools systems have done just that. They're large organizations and it's a nightmare to organize hybrid learning, but they're doing it. Hogan and Biden and all the rest of them are just saying aspirational words. Don't be fooled.
Then not a very smart one I guess. If you really have the credentials you claim, then you know that we cannot outrun the evolution of the virus. We need to accept that it is here to stay in some form. We need to figure out how to operate safely. Sitting on our hands in a perpetual hold not reasonable.
