Someone has to put pressure on the counties to get schools working to figure this out. If other large public schools have made progress, and private schools have opened, it’s time to move forward. Why are you so regressive?





Because I'm a research scientist who knows more than a thing or two about virology, and THE VIRUS OBEYS NO CALENDAR.

We'll open when we open. There's no precise timetable, but it's good to be prepared. Public schools systems have done just that. They're large organizations and it's a nightmare to organize hybrid learning, but they're doing it.

Hogan and Biden and all the rest of them are just saying aspirational words. Don't be fooled.



Then not a very smart one I guess. If you really have the credentials you claim, then you know that we cannot outrun the evolution of the virus. We need to accept that it is here to stay in some form. We need to figure out how to operate safely. Sitting on our hands in a perpetual hold not reasonable.

Hogan is good at figuring out which way the wind is blowing and supporting that direction. He's not good at much else. His press conferences are just pre-presidential campaign events. Keep in mind he's discussed nothing with local school systems before these announcements so they've all been making different plans. I'm not a huge fan of MCPS's choices but this is not a way to govern and this is how it's been throughout the pandemic. No surprise the Purple Line is such a disaster, and the vaccine roll-out is a sh$t show - saying people are eligible when there are nowhere near enough vaccines. He's a populist like Trump but more palatable to the general public - and that makes him extremely dangerous.

Sometimes we can't all hold hands and sing kumbaya to make things work.

Sometimes you need to kick a little ass as a leader to get things going.

I've voted straight Dem since Gore in 2000, but would absolutely give Larry a chance.

Thank you Governor Hogan for standing up to the educational complex! We are blessed to have a governor that applies common sense on so many issues. I'm not optimistic about the state's future once he leaves office.
