[/quote] +1 Black nails are so difficult. How frequently are you having them done, OP? If they got long over a few weeks, the quick may have moved out toward the tip. More frequent trims and walks on hard surfaces will help the quick to recede. I've started doing my 6 year old black lab's nails since covid started and I'm just now to the point of feeling confident - and that is with me doing little micro trims every single week. [/quote]
