OP here I tried no carb or sugar diet , no alcohol for 10 days my weight hasn’t changed much . The only carbs were from veggies( didn’t eat any potatoes ) . The only thing now after not eating sugar my chocolate that I used enjoy taste cheap ??? I don’t have sweet tooth but occasionally I might eat few small pieces . I tried 16:8 for a month didn’t help much either . I do have thyroid issues and started gaining weight 5 years ago , till than I was 145 lb , 5.6. Now I am 192 lbs . Also want to clarify my diet hasn’t changed much , I do not eat junk or drink soda . Didn’t grow up eating that way , therefore never had cravings. I usually eat 2 times a day . My drink usually unsweetened tea . I drink water 2 big glasses a day ,i do work out 3 times a week
Have you spoken with your doctor? Is your Thyroid in control? I would look there before fasting if you're already eating a healthy diet. Sorry, OP. It's a frustrating struggle.
Yes I see my doc every 6 months , only suggestion eat less move more . Which I am trying but still not much . So I thought maybe 5:2 will truck my system . So I am here try to get some info .
If your thyroid is under control then there is no reason you shouldn't be able to lose weight. How many calories are you consuming? How accurately are you tracking? 16:8 and all the random diets don't matter if you are not eating in a calorie deficit. I have been there and done that. Losing weight is hard. It takes consistency over a long period of time. Most people who fail give up too soon or don't stick to their diet consistently enough.
