I tried 16:8 for a month didn’t help much either . I do have thyroid issues and started gaining weight 5 years ago , till than I was 145 lb , 5.6.
Now I am 192 lbs . Also want to clarify my diet hasn’t changed much , I do not eat junk or drink soda . Didn’t grow up eating that way , therefore never had cravings. I usually eat 2 times a day . My drink usually unsweetened tea . I drink water 2 big glasses a day ,i do work out 3 times a week
Have you spoken with your doctor? Is your Thyroid in control? I would look there before fasting if you're already eating a healthy diet. Sorry, OP. It's a frustrating struggle.
Yes I see my doc every 6 months , only suggestion eat less move more . Which I am trying but still not much . So I thought maybe 5:2 will truck my system . So I am here try to get some info .
