I would have thought you would have heard at least a couple weeks ago if you have to appeal by Jan 7.  That doesn't give you any time to prepare anything for the appeal.  Not sure what the point of the appeal is then. [/quote]

The Equity report did call out appeals as part of the problem and the WISC. I wouldn't be surprised to find that FCPS is deliberately shortening the appeals window in order to decrease the use of the WISC. [/quote]

I agree that is probably why they are doing it that way.  So dumb.  The WISC would be more likely to identify kids who really need the program.  And it is available to low income families for free.  [/quote]
