My iPad still works, but I doubt it will for long, since cracks tend to get worse, not stay the same.

To be honest, I’m frankly just amazed at how exceptionally 2020 it is for me to have broken my iPad in such a way that it’s probably not fixable (they can’t really drop a new screen onto a bent frame) less than a week after my AppleCare expired. A new screen is $650, which is less than a new iPad, but with a bent frame, it’s almost certainly not fixable at all.

I tell you this story to give you some comfort, in case you ever think you do stupid things.

My husband is a wonderful being who responded by: 1. Laughing because it’s really sort of funny; and 2. Promised to get me a new one for Hanukkah.
