It is usually word of mouth. A coach may have contact info of a player who once tried out or a parent on a team knows a player.

Tournaments are not league events so there are no league rules prohibiting guest play.

There are some unusual recruiting/anti-poaching restrictions in CCL but what specifically are you referring to? The only cases I see are if the player accepts a spot on one CCL team then changes their mind and tries to switch clubs without permission or if a player from one CCL club guests for another CCL
club without permission. In either case they can get the current club directors permission and all is fine. It does require more than just the coach asking.[/quote]
