It wouldn't be called guesting. I believe what you are looking for is "double-carded". One club would be Primary and the other club would be Secondary. It will have to be in different league - for example: EDP/NCSL, etc.

It is usually word of mouth. A coach may have contact info of a player who once tried out or a parent on a team knows a player.
Tournaments are not league events so there are no league rules prohibiting guest play.
You simply need to be asked, available and your player's card to guest.
True except the guest player cannot join the club they guested until the next seasonal year
Do you mean the guest player is prohibited from joining the club in the next seasonal year?
No, they cannot join in the current year.
Wrong. Read the ccl bylaws again.
There are some unusual recruiting/anti-poaching restrictions in CCL but what specifically are you referring to? The only cases I see are if the player accepts a spot on one CCL team then changes their mind and tries to switch clubs without permission or if a player from one CCL club guests for another CCL
club without permission. In either case they can get the current club directors permission and all is fine. It does require more than just the coach asking.
A ccl player is prohibited from joining the ccl team they guested in the next seasonal year regardless of whether they receive permission from their home ccl club. This includes practicing with another ccl club during the current seasonable year. Not sure if it’s enforced but it should. This would cut down on guesting. This also applies to an ncsl carded player guesting and practicing with another ccl team and who’s home club is a member of the ccl.
