It’s been a minute since I bought a dog, but I believe you had to provide proof of the spay/neuter and if you didn’t, you would get hit with an invoice for the breeding rights (in my case it was $10k).

Seriously though, why would you want to deal with a dog in heat unless you were trying to set up a breeding operation?  And if you want to be a breeder, I would think you should be a bit more intentional about how you select your first dam vs. “Hmmmm, maybe I should breed this super cute puppy o have!”[/quote]
