They dated for about 3 years and were even engaged. But something happened and they broke off the engagement and eventually broke up. (she refuses to tell me what caused this or the break up)

Gift her a book on getting past your breakup. This isn’t normal. I suspect she has some guilt to not share why the split happened, and that guilt makes it easy for her to dwell in the past.[/quote]
