It's more about a sense of accomplishment. He's worked very hard and feels he deserves better than Cornell. It's unfortunate they have a very strong engineering program but that he feels very little interest in the school aside from loosely being acknowledged as an Ivy school.[/quote]

Yep.  There is definitely something wrong with you and your son.  If you had even researched schools, you would know that all the ivies are so different from each other.  To only apply to schools because they are ivies is complete stupidity.  He feels he deserves better than Cornell????  The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.  So I can imagine you feel the same too. [/quote]
