I’ve noticed that the amount of profile has decreased. I went on basically because I’m bored. I’m not sure I’d be willing to actually date right now with Covid? But, it seemed on both Bumble and Tinder there were a lot less profiles. I’m not sure it’s the death of online dating, but I don’t necessarily think it would be such a bad thing if it was. I’d love to see dating go back to traditional. I think online dating has actually hurt the dating world. Too many choices, easy to juggle multiple people, easy for married folks to cheat.
Profiles decreased because none of the married men and women have an excuse to leave the house. Let’s not kid ourselves, online dating has always been primarily about sex.
+1 I also know 2 couples that had divorced and both parties were OLD. They ended up getting back together during covid because they were passing the kids back and forth and trying not to get sick. I’m curious if they’ll remarry or go back to being divorced after all this ends.
