This "class warfare" BS is just a combination of two standard Faux tactics: 1) redefining a common term; 2) declaring the powerful victims of imaginary attacks.
Nope, none of that going on on the left besides those pesky tea party types have just hijacked the term and don't know what it really means anyway. Definition: Class war or class warfare refers to a class conflict, or tensions between members of different social classes
You realize that you just proved my point, right? When did "tensions" become "warfare?" And any "tension" qualifies? To the Reps, if a poor person says, "Nice car," they're inciting class warfare. Now let's look at your cites. First let's note the fairly important point that you can only refer to statements, not actual actions. Obama is a class warrior like Ralph Kramden was a tycoon.*
Obama to Bankers: I’m Standing ‘Between You and the Pitchforks’
The alleged quote is, "My administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.” April 09. Pretty ridiculous to pull that out, especially as he did nothing but help bankers since then. Isn't that part of the TP's complaint - screwing Joe Sixpack for the NY financial elite, etc. (with which I happen to agree)? And there's no reason we would be surprised by his actions - in that statement, he's taking their side. He was warning them that the rabble - not him - were going to get them if they didn't help him protect them. Which he then did - the ratio of million-dollar bonuses to criminal convictions would be...let's see...infinity.
Obama to Latinos: we're gonna punish our enemies and we're gonna reward our friends ("ok, this time it is probably more about race than class...")
How is it either? He called on them to vote their interests - punish "them" in the voting booth. He referred to the election in the same sentence. Where's the warfare?
Wasserman Schultz: “We must expose the stark difference between the Democrats fighting for the middle class and Republicans fighting for the elite and the ultra-wealthy.”
Ah. That must be the whole "tension" thing. Shhh! - don't tell them that they're being screwed - that's inciting tensio...I mean, WARFARE! Funny how it hasn't been class warfare as the Reps have disparaged "elites" for decades.
Hoffa Threatens GOP At Obama Event: "Take These Son Of Bitches Out"
You realize that he's not a Dem politician, right? He's someone who wants much more from the Dems than he will ever get. I certainly acknowledge the violent imagery there. Of course, he was referring to the Tea Party, not to members of an economic class, according to your boys: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/09/05/hoffa-on-tea-party-take-these-sons-bitches-out/ And on the topic of violent imagery, does this mean that we agree that things like Palin's website incite gun violence? *Yeah, I know that sucked, but I'm in a rush.
