For someone who is having an induction they need to know the bishop score, especially dilation and effacement. It is predictive of success with the induction drugs.[/quote] +1 I had a cervical check the day before my induction, where we learned my cervix was very favorable, and I could skip the cervical ripening and just start the induction with pitocin. Less time in a hospital during a pandemic and one less night away from home and my older DD. They aren't always pointless![/quote]
