Yay!"[/quote] I agree with this so long as you also give space to allow your child to express sadness, disappointment, fear of loss of friend, whatever negative emotion they may be feeling. It's important to do both (allow child to have and express any negative feelings/offer empathy AND find the good part of whatever situation is at hand), IMO.[/quote]
