Would you please identify the evidence-based assessments done by public health professionals that you referenced in your earlier email.  I would like to read the reports, and understand how they support a different approach than the assessments done by the public health professionals for the State of Maryland.  And perhaps why lacrosse is being treated as lower risk.[/quote]

My understanding is that Lacrosse was treated as lower risk for the same reasons: essentially, lobbying.

You can Google Scholar yourself, or use a scholarly database if you have access to one (many are free right now). In the end, it boils down to this: physical exertion and the heavy breathing that accompanies it, over the course of the length of game play, in varying degrees of close proximity to others, is highly risky, even outdoors, due to the heavier breathing and close contact. Again, play on if you like, but it isn't without risk just because some piece of paper says so now. [/quote]
