I am still sitting on almost 500k w/ ally earning 1%. There really isn't anything more attractive. Citi has an offer - 1500 if you transfer 200k (but less bouns for smaller transfer) but i decided not to move.
Ha thanks, I have the same problem. DH and I have about 500k on a saving account and I have an extra 80k on my personal account with same bank and just realized part of it will not FDIC insured, so I need to move it. I think I will do Ally Bank for long term and maybe do chase saving for the $150 bonus...not sure it is worth it though...
Why isn’t it FDIC insured?
I am sure PP meant it's over 250k FDIC limit. So anything over 250 is not insured.
This is why you want to open up several accounts. So you can park your money upto $250K without stressing out. Also do CD ladder. Google credit unions. They sometimes have much better rates than banks. They do this to increase their deposits and ranking.
