We currently live in DC, our child attends DCPS, and has an IEP. DCPS is able to meet the requirements of the IEP. DCPS is not going to pay to send my kid, who is progressing, to LAB. We'd like to move out of DC but stay in the area. I was wondering if anyone in Howard, Anne Arundel, etc, has had positive experiences with MS & HS. [/quote] Dcps hugely cut back on lab and other private placement around 2014. The threshold now is very different - showing the system and school can’t meet needs and your child is essentially failing despite their supports. It’s not the old days of hiring a lawyer and getting placement paid [/quote]
