They probably deduced they weren't able to release it next year (maybe too many movies already scheduled to be released next summer). What is the alternative? Studios spent big bucks making these movies. They have to get their costs back somehow. Don't like it? Then wait a few months to see it when the price falls. We wanted to see King of Staten Island.
