$30 bucks is about the same as my daughter and i going together and cheaper than going with my husband and daughter, we will totally be buying it.

It makes total sense to me. A family of four would not be able to see this in a theater for that much, even without any snacks.

Maybe it's about the little one in Las Vegas.

My thoughts exactly.

exactly what I told my kids yesterday. I prefer watching movies at home. I can pause to go to the bathroom and don't have to deal with other people talking, eating, etc. We have a big screen tv in the finished basement.

I'm looking forward to the movie. I was bummed when all the good movies were being held back because of covid, so this makes me happy.

It'll be on regular Disney+ soon enough.

If you take a family of 4 to the theater, you will be paying more than $30 with snacks.

Then don’t rent it.

Right but even with Disney+ you still have to pay $30, right? And it's only to rent, not own?

SMH. A lot of movies needed to be released this way. They probably deduced they weren't able to release it next year (maybe too many movies already scheduled to be released next summer). What is the alternative?

Studios spent big bucks making these movies. They have to get their costs back somehow. Don't like it? Then wait a few months to see it when the price falls.

We wanted to see King of Staten Island. We didn't want to pay $30 to watch it on Amazon. Guess what? It is now on Amazon Prime for free. Just wait.

They have to recoup their costs somehow. How much would you have paid to see it in theaters?

It’s not much for a first run movie, though.

That’s a lot for a movie rental.
