We now know that wearing masks is the surest way to prevent the spread so why isn't MD doing anything about it? Where is the leadership?

The same link that you posted says the following:

Mask wearing is NOT listed as one of the precautions on the MD Covid page. You know where else it is not listed? On the much touted "Maryland Strong: Back to Business Pledge":

So where is the enforcement or even encouragement about wearing masks? Other than a few tweets by Hogan and those signs on the highway encouraging the use of a mask, I haven't seen much. To the original question: is Maryland doing anything to enforce mask wearing? Other states have mandated masks and stated fines for breaking the rules. Maybe Maryland has something similar but I haven't heard about it or seen anyone enforcing it. Seems like either weak leadership or poor messaging.

Well, I know they are sending out a COVID task force to inspect businesses to see if they are following the mandatory mask requirements. Giant Food was cited, and several restaurants were in the news recently for not following the mask requirement. It's clearly being taken seriously. [/quote]
