I find it so weird that Maryland is included in the list of states requiring masks but yet there seems to be little to no enforcement of the rule. So many businesses in places like Ocean City only say "masks recommended". There isn't even anything about wearing masks on the state's own Covid website.
From https://coronavirus.maryland.gov/#FAQ
"All Marylanders are advised to take precautions to slow the spread of COVID-19:
Wash your hands often with soap and water
Cover your mouth and nose while sneezing or coughing
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
Avoid contact with sick people
If you are sick, stay home and call your health care provider
Practice social distancing — keep distance between yourself and others and avoid crowds"
We now know that wearing masks is the surest way to prevent the spread so why isn't MD doing anything about it? Where is the leadership?

Huh???
Do you even live in MD? What are you trying to accomplish by lying?
The same link that you posted says the following:
"Marylanders must wear masks or cloth face coverings in retail spaces and on public transportation beginning Saturday, April 18"
What are you trying to accomplish?
Mask wearing is NOT listed as one of the precautions on the MD Covid page. You know where else it is not listed? On the much touted "Maryland Strong: Back to Business Pledge":
https://commerce.maryland.gov/Documents/BusinessResource/Maryland-Strong-Back-to-Business-Pledge-COVID-19.pdf
So where is the enforcement or even encouragement about wearing masks? Other than a few tweets by Hogan and those signs on the highway encouraging the use of a mask, I haven't seen much. To the original question: is Maryland doing anything to enforce mask wearing? Other states have mandated masks and stated fines for breaking the rules. Maybe Maryland has something similar but I haven't heard about it or seen anyone enforcing it. Seems like either weak leadership or poor messaging.
