Ecnl has the same problem as ccl. Clubs play clubs regardless of whether the first teams are of comparable quality. It is preposterous and driven purely by convenience for coaches. It is a device to insulate weaker teams from competition while allowing lesser teams and inferior players to claim elite status even when they are far short of it. Leagues like that mean absolutely nothing even when outstanding teams participate, as we can see in example after example in this area for boys ecnl. [/quote]
