[/quote] The demand for basements has nothing to do with the demand for SFHs. my guess is some of the people looking for basements are looking for them because they lost their jobs or took a pay reduction. Basement rentals are typically cheaper than traditional apartments, plus they are often rented by owner and don't require the same level of income verification.[/quote]
