I doubt crime metrics are down here. There has been a TON more petty crime in my neighborhood: car break ins, bike thefts, package thefts, etc. They aren't tracking the petty stuff, nor is anyone reporting it. Nextdoor neighbor is filled with instances of burglary. I worry it will translate into more things like armed robbery in the future...
Where is ‘here’? I’m in the city and I’ve already noticed less loitering and issues with turf wars. I never had an issue with package or car thefts before though so... NextDoor in the suburbs is always alive with posts about the ‘suspicious’ character just jogging through the neighborhood. With all the busybodies stuck home with nothing else to do I’m sure the ‘well I saw this person’ posts are surging left-and-right.
Clarendon. Package and bike thefts, car break-ins. Since I know the people personally, it's not just 'suspicion'.
