There was an original report that there was a student from Rocketship Rise. That was incorrect.
WASHINGTON (ABC7) — The Rocketship Rise Academy Public Charter School announced Wednesday a student has been diagnosed with presumed COVID-19.
On Thursday, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said the school was "misinformed" and said the student had not been tested nor did the student receive a positive result.
"We have directed the family to go back to the medical provider and seek a test," Bowser said when she was asked about the case. "We understand that test has been made and the results are pending, so we will not be reporting any positive tests of a minor tonight."
A few hours later, the Mayor's office told ABC7 that the student's results came back negative.
