We're moving to the district, likely Capitol Hill/H Street. We have one kid going into K this coming year, and another who will be 3 year old the year after that. Would the combination of proximity and siblinghood give us good chances for PK3 for whatever our in-boundary school will be (Maury, Watkins, LT, or Brent)?
When will you have an address? If it is next month it is one thing. If it is this summer, you might not get a spot.
This is true. If you aren't in boundary by the time the lottery concludes, then the best you can do is get on the waitlist after the lottery. Even with a sibling preference, you may not get in. We were on the PK-3 waitlist inbounds at Peabody two years ago and it didn't move at all. Somebody else posted on another thread recently that they were #1 on the Peabody PK-3 waitlist and didn't get a spot.
