Sorry to hikacj but I have a hard time with this toy. My almost five year old can’t do it without help. Fine. But my almost 8 yo nephew was also kind of struggling with it. It seems like they break apart a lot and the pieces go everywhere. Does anyone else kind of hate them?
That is the point to break them apart. Whoever breaks apart first loses.
Yup, that is the entire point of the silly things. Then you mix the pieces together to try and build the best blade and see how it works. My only issue is when kids bring their stuff and pieces get mixed and they fight over whose pieces belong to who. We don't let DS friends bring their stuff to our house and I don't let my son bring his stuff to their houses. That way we eliminate the main area of bickering. My 7 year old has had them for a few years and he doesn't have a problem using them. But different kids have different level of fine motor skills at these ages.
