How cool that this is still a popular toy! I remember buying these for my son 15 years ago when he was 10. I still have the stadium in his old closet.

Also my kids did not have a problem with them - started with ods at about 5 - and ods did have a fine motor problem. I think they just take some practice.

You mix and match the pieces. My advice is to NOT get the kind that take batteries. These are basically tops. We got rid of our stadium years ago but they are helpful since the size and shape are right. We use a huge metal mixing bowl instead and it is really loud.

Don't get the battery powered ones and you should try to get two at least because the point is to mix and match. My kids are a little older and we still have all our beyblades. They come and go in fashion. I think this is the third time since we first got them for them to be back in fashion.

Yup, that is the entire point of the silly things. Then you mix the pieces together to try and build the best blade and see how it works. My only issue is when kids bring their stuff and pieces get mixed and they fight over whose pieces belong to who. We don't let DS friends bring their stuff to our house and I don't let my son bring his stuff to their houses. That way we eliminate the main area of bickering.

My 7 year old has had them for a few years and he doesn't have a problem using them. But different kids have different level of fine motor skills at these ages.

Target has a Black Friday deal on the bet made burst evolution stadium for $25. It’s usually $50. It comes with 2 blades. The blades are at least $10 each usually. I got one for my 6 year old.

Yup. That is about it.

If he is going to bring them to aftercare then make darn sure you label everything. The kids can get pretty testy that a specific part was theirs and that rip cord and the like. I know a whole bunch of programs that have banned the Bey Blades because they were causing too much conflict.

A stadium and some extra blades are all that you really need.

Get a stadium and a couple of different Beyblades, that’s all you need!

I Almost started this thread as my 5yo has become obsessed with them from his aftercare program.

The year my kid was into them we got the stadium, which I think came with a couple of Beyblades, and a few individually packaged ones. He was thrilled with all of it.

My son wants bey blades for Christmas but I’m not sure what to buy as there are so many products. What would you recommend as a a starter set? Thanks!
