Everyone has preferences that they know are irrational. As long as the person with the irrational preference is the only one inconvenienced (like the PP), what's the problem? I like having a dog. It's an objectively stupid use of money, but I love that big stupid beast. I have gotten interested in gardening. I'm sure it would make more sense to just plant clover everywhere, but you should see the size of one of the lavender varieties I planted. Woot! (I drive a Subaru. I love what a dorky car it is.
