Do you qualify for all of the incentives? I never do since they seem to always include those such as military, recent college grad, etc.
You negotiate and don't tell them. Get final price then say you want it. Did that with the military discount.
OP here, how are you doing this? Are you saying something like: Hello, interested in the Black SUV. Online price is 40,000. What’s your best out the door price on this vehicle? After they respond, you say: Great. I see you offer a 5% military discount. I’d like that. I’m sure they’re going to say they don’t stack discounts, or have some other excuse. Do you just hold firm and tell them you’ll be in to sign the papers if they get you that extra 5%?
I picked the car and figured out what is the absolute best price its going for. Then, when they agree, say I want the $500 or what ever military discount. I like special orders so I'm not looking at what they have and they didn't have exactly what I wanted. I just got a new car. Figured out 8% off invoice plus military was the best deal I could get - message boards and facebook groups and emailed dealers in MD/VA/WV/PA/NJ and said who can give me this. 4 agreed, 1 was the most responsive so they got the business. A lot wanted to include the military discount in the final price and I said it was a rebate for us, not for them. I found emailed and negotiating was better than in person.
