Hi there, outside of the SMACs, am I understanding correctly that if you want to take multivariable calculus/linear algebra you have to take a bus and do this at Montgomery County Community College? or is that just for BCC? Any Whitman or WJ or Blair non-magnet parents have experience on this front? I'm glad DC seems to have found a groove with math, and I did a really accelerated track myself as a kid, but having to travel to another campus seems too much.
WJ offers MVC. My senior starts tomorrow. The teacher, Mr. Choi, is hard-core, but my senior and many others in Calc BC last year got 5s on the exam and said it was a breeze compared to the class. Just looking at the websites, B-CC offers MVC (as they term it, calc w/apps, multivariate/diff eqns on the math department page). Whitman also offers MVC. I only poked around for a few seconds and didn't see the course bulletin for either school.
