Plenty of kids take AB Calc and then BC.
Or AB and then Stats.
Or BC and then Stats.
In addition, since math beyond BC isn't a requirement they can use that spot for an extra science or history or art.

What happens to kids who take Algebra in 6th?
I think this has become very uncommon. 4 years of math in HS is still required. I think they would have to go to MC

But a lot of times AP Statistics could be used to fill that 4th year. MVC will only be offered at a school if they have enough kids to take it, which means enough kids taking AP BC Calc in 11th grade. Some schools won't be able to support it.

Any Whitman or WJ or Blair non-magnet parents have experience on this front? I'm glad DC seems to have found a groove with math, and I did a really accelerated track myself as a kid, but having to travel to another campus seems too much.
