Presumably they're banking on the fact that they're popular, she's an actor, and they'll convince a juror (1) that they're just trying to do what was best for their kid and didn't have any idea of the bigger scam.[/quote] If they do get more than a year, I bet it'll be just a hair over -- over one year and you are eligible for early release for good behavior. I had a client sentenced to a year and a day for that reason; judge was being merciful, realized he'd get out early.[/quote]
