NY is dumping the common core and moving to "world class" standards...kid you not. This is why I like charter schools...in regular public schools by the time.one size fits all gets to the kids, they are already changing it. A charter can develop its own curriculum and not be driven by mandates and Texas publishing houses.[/quote]

In other words they are changing the name due to all the fake news bad press, but the actual standards -- the goals for what kids should know-- will be the same, look closely. It is all politics, but in the end, the kids are learning the same things. The curriculum is simply which book are they using and which teaching methods to they like. But in the end, everyone is learning the same basic academics.[/quote]
