Once your kids are in high school and taking AP classes, there is definitely an advantage to starting earlier. MCPS also was not able to do a full week of spring break because of Hogan’s law, which irritated people. I have lots of friends whose kids are heading back to school this week - both in the south and the Midwest - so there is a large range of normal. [/quote]
