Thank you all for your sympathy. It's tough but I am trying desperately to be positive. Is it too early to ask about what we should look to change for next pregnancy? Like progesterone or aspirin? Or is that something to ask my MFM?
I'm so sorry. I had a loss at 19 weeks. After the loss, I went to a MFM doc who told me the chances of this happening again were very slim. But then I had a hard time getting pregnant again, so I went to a fertility specialist who ran a full battery of tests on me. Turned out I had a blood clotting disorder that no one would have caught had I not gone to the fertility specialist. I guess what I'm saying is get a few opinions. See what the MFM specialist has to say. And then consider going to a fertility specialist to get a work up if the MFM doctor does not offer one. Sometimes these things are just a cruel fluke, and sometimes there is a medical reason behind it that you can help control. I am so sorry for your loss and I hope that you are able to find hope, comfort, and peace in the days to come.
